Top tips on framing artAugust 29, 2008
It is amazing how a room comes to life once you hang art on the
walls. But before you actually get to hang the art you need to have
your pieces framed. It is the framing process that can take an ordinary
postcard, trinket or original oil painting to extraordinary heights.
I love framing art…….or at least what I consider art. Let me
clarify this, art can be just about anything: From a greeting card you
found in a store to a thank you card that your best girlfriend gave
you. Art can be a jade necklace you bought at a Asian Market; vintage
posters or magazine ads bought from an estate sale; a piece of antique
cloth found at an antique store; or it can be a painting you bought
from a street vendor or gallery. Art is defined by its owner and as
they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The point here is that
any object can become art when framed correctly.
